3D Scanners
We use a 3D digital scanner instead of the trays of putty impressions you may remember. A handheld wand passes over your teeth and builds a full digital model on screen in a few minutes, with nothing to gag on and nothing to spit out.
That model does real work. Dr. Gamblin can rotate your bite on screen and show you exactly what he is seeing, which makes a treatment plan something you understand rather than something you are told. It lets him plan bracket placement or your full Clarity aligner sequence precisely, and everything goes to the lab digitally instead of a physical mold going in the mail.
Because the scan is stored, a lost retainer or a damaged aligner usually does not mean scanning you again. It also gives us an accurate before, so progress checks compare your teeth today against your teeth on day one rather than against memory.
